The two eggs on the left in this picture are out of our welssummers. the babies for sale right now are out of the hen that lays the egg to the very right. Very dark but speckled as well.

I made cheese!

I made just a little cheese to see if we would like it.The kids loved it. It is so fun to do. This is just a plain white cheese you can add herbs to or crumble it over salads or in eggs. No chemicals or fake color or preservatives. The milk that it is made with has no growth hormones, the goats are not feed antibiotics; just good food. It is amazing we are eating better and better. I can't wait to make it again and experiment fresh herbs.

Sugar and Spice are sisters. Born 4-2-11 Dam is Little Tots Estate Ligularia and Sire is Little Tots Estate Olde Buddy. Ligularia or Lulu is a great milker and a good mother. She is solid chocolate with frosting on her ears.

Sunflowers

The sunflowers are starting to come in. Why is it that you have to smile when you see a sunflower; such a happy flower.

Corn is coming along even after mother nature tried to knock it over with all these storms we have been having.   Now she did single- handedly pick one of the pears trees. Last night when we came home from church there were at least 100 pears on the ground along with limbs and branches off the pecans and oaks.  Seem this year the wind is awful. But we are thankful for the rain that comes along with this wind.

Guineas

We are down to six baby guineas. We do have twenty due on the 18th, pearl in color. Just wonderful insect eaters. A natural way to get rid of fleas and ticks, even ants. You gotta love them.

Scattering those seeds

Mike and Shelton playing in Waco a few weeks back. Didn't get pictures but they played again Sunday night at a Christian Church in south Heard county on the Coweta-Heard county line.That was a great time and met some of the most loving people.
